Master Your Subjects If the job requires technical or specialized knowledge, revisit your academic subjects. For administrative positions, concentrate on governance, Pakistan affairs, and public administration. Make a list of important acts, policies, and laws that apply to the job. 3. Enhance General Knowledge and Current Events Stay informed about Pakistan's political, economic, and social issues. For news, check Dawn, The News, or the Express Tribune. Keep up with current affairs and international news programs. Explore Pakistan's history, geography, and notable people once more. 4. Test yourself on common interview questions. General Questions: Could you please describe yourself? Why do you want to work in this department? What are your benefits and drawbacks? Where do you see yourself in five years? ✅ Job-Specific Questions: What are the primary duties of the department? What would you do in difficult situations or under pressure? In this field, what reforms would you recommend? ✅ Situational Questions: If you face political pressure in your job, how will you handle it? What will you do if you discover corruption in your department? 5. Improve your communication and self-assurance. Speak clearly and concisely—practice answering questions aloud. Improve your body language by sitting confidently and maintaining eye contact. Practice switching between English and Urdu during the interview if both are used. 6. Revise Basic Laws & Constitution Pakistan's Constitution, especially the sections that apply to your field. Rules for the Civil Service, the NAB Ordinance (for jobs at the NAB), the FIA Act (for jobs at the FIA), and other similar documents. Local government administration regulations. 7. Self-evaluation and practice interviews: Practice with a friend or mentor to simulate an actual interview setting. By recording yourself, examine your posture and speech as you respond to questions.
